356 ways to Play the "F" Exercises.

The second part of my book “REDOBLES” start with the lesson "F".
This second part + the book 3 “REPIQUES” + the book 4 “RULOS” = 100 pages.

On the second part of this book, we find 20 pages of that 100 pages. Each page have F, G, H, I, J, K, and L exercices. Each page start with an “F” exercise.

The “F” exercises are for coordination and independence of 2, 3 or 4 limbs. There are more than 356 ways to study this “F” exercises. Each “F” exercise have 8 strokes on the cymbal per bar. The “X” form notes. Each “F” exercise have some “oval” form notes you have to play on the drums.

There are only 2 possibilities (cases): You play an “oval” form note with an “X” form note (unisonous). Or you play an “oval” notes between 2 “X” form notes.

DEFINITIONS:

There are loud (strong) “oval” notes and soft “oval” notes. I call all of them “accents”. I mean:
ACCENTS = STRONG oval notes on the drums + SOFT oval notes on the drums.

The ACCENTS of each “F” exercise determine the "G", "H", "I", "J", "K", and "L" exercise of its page. Example: The F007 determine the G007, H007, I007, J007, K007 and L007 of its page. That means: the 7 exercises of each page have the same ACCENTS.

Play in “TRADITIONAL Form” means play with perpendicular fore-arms.
The “strong” hand on the hi-hats and the “weak” hand on the snare drum.
Play in the “AMBIDEXTROUS Form” means play with parallel fore-arms.
The “weak” hand on the hi-hats and the “strong” hand on the snare drum. Like Billy Cobham do.

Unit between two bars >> I write “bars”.
“Strong hand” is the hand you use to write with a pencil. “Weak hand” is the other hand. “Strong foot” is the foot you usually play the bass drum and kick a ball.
“Weak foot” is the other foot.

PRACTICE TABLE FOR THE 16 "F" GROUPS. I mean: ENDLESS PRACTICE.

You have to sustitute the “F” of page 103 with one exercise of page 102.
15 exercises x 16 examples of the table = 240 new exercises of 1 bar
15 exercises x 1 example of the table = 16 new exercises of 2 bars

If we create a table with every example of page 102, then we have 15 new tables. Repeat the method:
256 new exercises X 15 new tables = 3.584 new examples
Combine the first table with the 18 foot ostinatos and we have 4.608 new exercises.
Combine the 15 tables with the 18 foot ostinatos and we have 64.512 new exercises.
Some of this 64.512 exercises are almost impossible to play because you need extreme independence and coordination to do it.
The interesting thing is TRY to play they and have FUN with the drums !!!!
That is what I call “ENDLESS PRACTICE”.
